Summit Academy OIC has hired local executive Alex Tittle as our new Director of Workforce Solutions to strengthen strategic relationships and partnerships to drive placement of Summit graduates. Tittle will work closely with Ted Mondale, Vice President of Workforce Partnerships. Together, they will connect with employers and corporations who are looking to grow and diversify their talent solutions. This work will advance economic equity in the Twin Cities and across the entire region.

Tittle is a seasoned DEI executive and strategist with over 17 years of experience across government, healthcare, and sports industries. Notably, he was the Equity Director for the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority during the construction and opening of U.S. Bank Stadium. In that role, Tittle surpassed project goals and secured over $267 million in contracts for minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses and workers—including a contract with Summit to hire diverse construction graduates.

“For decades, Summit has been building a pipeline of skilled and diverse workers for the Twin Cities,” said Leroy West, President and CEO of Summit Academy OIC. “We are doubling down on our commitment to be the leading workforce solution for the region, and Alex is the right person for this job. I have full confidence he will not only support Summit graduates in getting placed, but also local employers in meeting their growing workforce demand.”

“We need Alex on team Summit,” said Ted Mondale, VP of Workforce Partnerships at Summit Academy OIC. “His proven track record in bridging relationships between workers and employers speaks for itself. I am thrilled to have Alex join the Office of Workforce Solutions and look forward to the partnerships we will create and sustain across the Twin Cities and Minnesota.”

“My career has been dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workforce,” said Alex Tittle, Director of Workforce Solutions at Summit Academy OIC. “I am so proud to come back to Summit and help guide diverse and skilled graduates into living-wage careers. This is important work not only for the individuals who come through Summit’s doors, but also for bolstering economic equity across the entire state.”

Most recently, Tittle has served as the Chief Diversity Officer for NMDP, formerly known as Be the Match. There, he has designed a 5-year strategic DEI plan, reorganized employee resource groups and the DEI Council, and provided DEI coaching for C-suite executives and board members.

Over the last decade, Tittle has held leadership roles at Medica as the Senior Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Hennepin County as the Director of Disparity Reduction, Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee as the VP for Business Connect and Corporate Affairs, and at the Minnesota Department of Transportation as the Director of the Civil Rights Office.

Tittle holds a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University in St. Louis, MO and a Bachelor of Science degree from The Citadel in Charleston, SC.

Today, Monday, December 16, is Tittle’s first day on the job.
