Summit has always prioritized removing barriers for students. That includes offering 20-week career trainings and a 10-week GED program at no out-of-pocket cost, removing a large financial barrier to pursuing furthering education.
Now, we are removing an additional barrier for students who may not be able to attend career trainings during regular business hours. Starting on November 11, Summit will host evening and weekend classes for our Electrician training and GED program.
The evening programs are designed for students who need more flexibility. Whether a student is working a full-time job, taking care of family, or has other commitments during the day, our evening schedule will ensure they don’t have to put their dreams on hold.
The new evening and weekend class schedule can be completed in 28 weeks for our Electrician training and in just 11 weeks for our GED program.
Electrician training schedule: Monday–Thursday from 5–9 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m.–2:50 p.m.
GED program schedule: Monday-Thursday from 4:30–8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m.–12 p.m.

While GED and Electrician are the only courses to have an evening/weekend option starting on November 11, we are maintaining all other daytime options for trainings and programs.
